My dog, Bandit, got out of her fenced yard last week when the latch on the gate broke during a bad storm. She had chewed her collar off so there was no identification on her.
We were hoping someone would take Bandit to a vet or a shelter where her microchip would be scanned, but a whole week went by and we hadn’t heard from anyone. Finally, we got a call from PetLink this morning and they patched us through to the lady that had been fostering her for the last few days.
The lady took Bandit to the vet yesterday to check for heartworms. The vet, after seeing that Bandit was healthy, well-fed and clean, decided she didn’t look like a stray and decided to scan her for a microchip. Thank you to PetLink and foster families everywhere for all that you do!
