My cat Toliver made a three-storey leap out of an open window. I had only left the room for a minute and when I came back I knew he was gone. I looked for Toliver for hours but to no avail. That’s when I logged on to PetLink to start the sad process of reporting him lost. I was kind of in shock and didn’t know what to do. I am so grateful that the PetLink website walked me through the horrible process of what to do when you lose your pet. I didn’t know where to start. They immediately offered a template for a ‘Lost cat’ poster where I uploaded a picture and was able to print several copies out. PetLink also reminded me to call the local shelters.
Two weeks had passed and I had almost given up hope. Then, I got the phone call from PetLink saying that someone had found Toliver and that they had successfully identified him through his microchip. Toliver is an inside cat and didn’t have his collar on. Without that chip I don’t think he would have been returned to me. PetLink got the shelter in touch with me the same day Toliver was brought in. I had him home within the hour and now we both couldn’t be happier!
