After wandering around for two days outside during a cold Minnesota winter, our precious, Schipperke, Toby, has been brought back home to us. He was picked up by the police. No one had brought him in. When the police found him, I didn’t know if they ran his microchip or not. I didn’t ask – I was just so happy to have him back! But I guess they must have scanned Toby because the microchip was our only saving grace. The collar Toby was wearing didn’t have his tags on it. He had recently chewed his way through his harness that did have his tags on it. In fact, we only had Toby’s collar on so he could go outside after the surgery he had the very day he ran away. His stitches look good and he is home – happy and safe!
