I was fostering this white mix female and her and Charlene were best friends. One day duringtheir free running time they just disappeared into the woods chasoing something. Char’s been good about coming back within the hour, but not this time. As the hours past I worried more. Coyotes, mountain lions and even bears are in those woods. Darkness came and night was here with no dogs. I left their pen door open and food and water inside. Had to go to bed hoping and believing some how they’d make it home in one piece. Early the next morning I looked out the window toward the pen and I saw this one thing. I ran out side to see Missy was back and lo and behold there was Charlene. Thank God they both came back-together and in one piece. Tired and hungry but fine. It was 18 hours they were gone!! I knew Charlene had a good nose on her. Good thing she used it and came home.
