Owning a dog, and with two little girls, we have a gated back yard. When the gate was open Daisy, a brown and white Welsh Corgi Cardigan, snuck out and we didn’t know she was missing for two hours. Our six-year-old was crying “We’ll never have her again!” and I calmed her down, saying “wait and see” while we started looking for Daisy. My husband went to look for her and was going to drive around again but I said “Let’s just go to bed. We’ll call the pound in the morning.” We were so busy looking for Daisy that I forgot that PetLink is also online.
I didn’t have high hopes. I thought someone had taken her or she got run over. Thankfully, Daisy was found a few hours after we lost her, thanks to PetLink! I had almost given up looking for her for the night when I saw the email from PetLink saying that she had been found. It had probably been there for at least three hours. A kind local woman found the info on Daisy’s tag and contacted PetLink. I called her, she turned out to be living in the same neighborhood and the rest is … history! We realized this lady had acted so quickly to keep her safe that Daisy didn’t have a chance to run home! I picked her up, brought her home and woke up my daughter with the good news. I am really impressed by the efficiency of the PetLink service. The lesson I learned is that instead of driving around looking for your dog, check your emails!
