Our cat Pita escaped from an open window. The pet sitter and the neighbors looked high and low for him. Fortunately, the pet sitter was able to provide the local vets with his chip number. The person who found him on her deck a couple of days after he went missing took Pita to a local vet who found the chip number and missing cat notification, as well as the pet sitter’s contact through his microchip.
Pita was reunited with his favorite sitter, and with us when we returned from an out-of-state trip. We hadn’t updated our PetLink profile when we moved, so the number alone was instrumental in Pita’s return. We have made sure the profile is now updated to make things easier the next time!
