Our cat, Oreo, went missing for a week in 2013. The temperatures were in the low 20s for that week. My daughter was crying everyday and searching the neighborhood for Oreo. I’ve never seen her that sad. She made signs to put on telephone poles. After about six days we got a call from a local pet shop. Someone had found our cat outside their home. They let Oreo in the garage and fed him. They got him in a cat carrier and took him to the local vet’s office. There they scanned him and got my phone number from PetLink and called me. The person that found Oreo drove him straight to my house. When my daughter got home and saw Oreo she started crying and hugging him. It was a great reunion. She didn’t let him back out of the house for two weeks after that scare. If it wasn’t for the chip we would have never had him returned to us. Thank you, PetLink.
