Trixie ventured a little too far from home on Wednesday evening after first getting out of her collar and next out of the back yard! I looked and looked as much as I could with my seven-month-old daughter. I called Animal Control, local radio stations, and talked to many neighbors. I knew which direction she had headed, thanks to a seven-year-old girl, but wasn’t sure how far she had gone. PetLink helped me make fliers and gave me the reassurance that finding Trixie was possible.
Around 4 p.m. Thursday afternoon, I got a call from Animal Control that someone had found a dog who fit Trixie’s description, so they gave me this man’s phone number and address. It turns out this man worked with a friend of mine. He cared for Trixie all night, gave her food and a nice warm place to stay during a thunderstorm. They also fell in love with her loving personality 🙂 She is home, safe and sound.
