I know moving house can be challenging to cats. We sold our former home and moved two miles away in September 2010, so I took my cats, Jojo and brother George, to the vet and I got them chipped and registered with PetLink, as a precaution in case one of them became disoriented with their new location. A couple of months later, as winter set in, Jojo went missing. We thought he was the victim of a coyote or bobcat as he’d been missing for nearly six months. Then, on June 2, I was in my office when I got the email from PetLink that Jojo had been found. I dropped the call I was on and dialled the facility listed on the email. One of the technicians handed the phone to a very nice gentlemen, who told me he had brought Jojo into the vet’s office to have his vaccinations brought up to date before he adopted this lost cat. The vet scanned Jojo and learned he was chipped! My daughters were ecstatic that he had been found. The man brought Jojo to my house, where he was reunited with our family AND his brother George. Thank you so much PetLink.
