Truman is a long, lean Blue Tick Coon Hound / Beagle Mix and he loves to play. On Monday, playing in the yard turned into what he thought was a big game of chase and before I knew it he was far away and gone. On Tuesday, my daughter reported Truman lost on PetLink. I feared the worst since we live in a congested area with lots of heavily traveled streets. On Thursday, I got a phone call from the KC Pet Project around 2 PM in the afternoon saying they had Truman safe and sound. I was so very happy that I cried because Truman’s escape was my fault! I was just glad I didn’t get a speeding ticket as I left work and hurried to pick him up. We had numerous friends following Truman on PetLink and it was really a comfort to think that friends and neighbors were checking in on his status. Our local vet was following as well. Sometimes, it can be discouraging to encounter all the problems in the world. But I was really touched by the thoughtfulness and concern of all the people concerned about a lost family dog in the PetLink circle of friends. God bless PetLink!
