After being gone for a weekend I returned home and let my two cats outside the next day. Frankie didn’t come home that evening and I started to get worried, but he’d done this once before. We put out signs and were praying for the best. At least he hadn’t turned up at the shelter. On the fifth day, he finally came home! I couldn’t believe it. I thought for sure he was a goner. Since he wasn’t even hungry, we think he was taking a vacation at a friendly neighbor’s house. Having the microchip gave me peace of mind that if he had been found one way or the other that I would at least know. We are so happy he’s finally home.

My best advice is that, if you have a pet, get it microchipped with PetLink. Their chips save lives. Read more
