My dog, Oakley, had been missing for nine days. I had searched day and night for her, visited all the shelters, visited vets’ offices, put up flyers and driven around the neighborhood for days. I got a call just before 3 p.m. today. It was PetLink and I knew my prayers had been answered.
She showed up at a gentleman’s home yesterday morning about eight miles away. He said he fed her and gave her some water. He also said that Oakley slept on his front porch since she arrived. I think he is an angel and I told him so. Actually, he is a retired preacher.
He carried her to the vet today and they scanned the microchip, got my information and I got the phone call I had been praying for. PetLink called me as soon as the microchip was scanned and told me that she had been found and where she was. She had lost her tag that she usually wears on her collar with my contact info on it. The microchip, of course, she can’t lose.
I brought Oakley home, fed her, gave her a bath and she is out like a light. She is exhausted but she’s home now. I just wanted to thank you for everything!
